A big year for netball club

Netball: THERE'S been some big news for Chinchilla Netball this year, as the club received access to a new netball facility at Chinchilla High School and funding was announced from Western Downs Regional Council for three new outdoor courts to be built also at Chinchilla SHS.

This has been the result of many years of hard work and vision for members of the club, and next year we are beyond excited to be playing on our new surfaces next year.

Overall it's also been a major year for development of players and officials.

Earlier in the year we hosted a Darling Downs Panthers Development and Coaching Clinic with excellent attendance from our Junior players.

This allowed Representative Coaches from Darling Downs Netball to provide the opportunity for players to develop their skills and knowledge of the game.

We also offered our members First Aid Certificates, Foundation Coaching and Umpiring Courses this year to develop all of our volunteers as without these positions clubs cannot function, grow or improve.

We are passionate about providing the best netball opportunities we can for our players and officials.

Nine Ladies teams competed this year for our first full length season, with the final being played in the new High School Sports Hall.

Playing netball on this brilliant surface was something special.
