Bobbie wins at Country Press Awards
THE Chinchilla News' Site Supervisor Bobbie Gorring bulldozed the competition at the Queensland Country Press Association's awards over the weekend, winning accolades for Advertising Sales Representative of the Year.
Ms Gorring was applauded at the annual awards night in Brisbane on Saturday for her initiative in driving three advertising campaigns which helped reduce the paper's revenue decline as a result of the dramatic downturn in the CSG industry.
The long-time staff member of Chinchilla News said she had been really taken aback by the win.
"It was a huge surprise considering the calibre of the other nominees," Ms Gorring said.
"The recognition is incredibly humbling. I am also super proud of (fellow Chinchilla News' sales representative) Rachael Green for picking up third place in the awards. I work with a great bunch of people, so this is really for them."
