Traffic chaos, delays after New England Hwy car crash
LATEST: Traffic is backed up along the New England Hwy north of Toowoomba after a single-vehicle rollover this afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said no-one was seriously injured in the incident near Mitchell Rd south of Highfields about 4pm.
No-one has been transported to hospital.
The northbound lanes of the busy highway ground to a halt after a lane was closed to allow the damaged vehicle to be retrieved.
Motorists can expect delays if travelling north towards Highfields.
4.30PM: Afternoon peak-hour traffic has been thrown into chaos north of Toowoomba after a single-vehicle rollover near Highfields.
One lane of the New England Hwy is closed as emergency services retrieve a car which rolled near Mitchell Rd shortly before 4pm.
Paramedics are treating one person at the scene for minor injuries.
Police have closed one northbound lane on the New England as the vehicle is recovered.
Motorists are advised of delays but police are guiding traffic around the incident.
3.55PM: Emergency services are responding to reports of a single-vehicle rollover near Highfields.
Initial reports suggest a vehicle has rolled off the New England Hwy near Mitchell Rd, north of Toowoomba.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are en route to the incident and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
The rollover was reported to authorities about 3.50pm.
