Something winning in the Wandoan water
WHEN it comes to agricultural show talent, there must be something in the water at Wandoan.
At last weekend’s South West Queensland Sub Chambers Regional Finals Wandoan’s show ambassadors blitzed the competition; Colin Worsfold won Rural Ambassador and Nikki Hoffman bagged the Miss Showgirl title.
Even Chinchilla Show’s Miss Showgirl Tammy Pakaulls and runner-up to Nikki Hoffman (and her own cousin) hailed originally from Wandoan.
The weekend’s win was the third year in a row for the Wandoan Show Society to pick up the Miss South West Showgirl title and go on to compete in the state finals at the EKKA.
Miss Wandoan Showgirl 2015 Mkarla James who won the South West Queensland title last year claimed Miss Personality at the 2015 EKKA.

Also to win top accolades at the South West finals was young Henry Sinnamon who had a clean sweep of the Junior Judging and Junior Paraders.
The Wandoan Show Society were understandably delighted with the ambassadors for the agriculture show movement they were again credited with producing.
“Executive committee and members congratulate both these amazing future leaders and remind them that the opportunity to attend the State judging during EKKA is a wonderful personal experience for them to have achieved,” the committee said.
