Start your engines: the Chinchilla Auto Show is nearly here!

PREPARE to put your pedal to the metal this weekend as Chinchilla is swarmed with hot rods, muscle cars, trucks motor bikes and even a DeLorean as part of this year's Auto Show.

Show organiser Bill Pendergast said this year is packed full of entertainment sure to know the socks off auto enthusiasts of all ages.

Fans of Doc and Marty from the 80s cult movie Back to the Future fans are in for a real treat this year.

"The DeLorean DMC12 we have coming was actually owned by Charles DeLorean, the brother of DeLorean Motor Company founder John DeLorean. It's one one of only 8830 built back in December 1981, so that's a major drawcard right there," he said.

"We are also having a wonderful retro fashion show with two $50 gift cards from White Lotus Hair & Beauty up for grabs so if you are a lover of vintage fashion and style you won't want to miss it."

This Saturday's jam-packed events list also includes and swap meet and markets, children's entertainment, a classic car auction, a fire brigade jaws of life demonstration as well as multiple off road racer, 4X4, drag car and truck displays.

The Chinchilla State High School's Saxophone Quartet will also be performing for spectators.

Mr Pendergast did wish to remind spectators that pets are not permitted on the Chinchilla State School grounds but is encouraging families to come out in full force.

"We've tried to keep prices reasonable to families this year by offering a $10 family pass, so make sure you bring the whole clan along."
