Stray goat terrorises Toowoomba street
BETWEEN 7pm and 8pm a stray goat was seen "doing the block" in Ruthven St; exactly 100 years ago.
A news report from the now defunct Brisbane Courier reported that matters were quiet until some boys began to interrupt "billy's" perambulation (to travel on foot).
After the boys horned in on the buck's walk "things got wild" and endeavouring to get "some of his own back" the goat wildly charged one of the plate-glass windows in Mr. I. Abraham's tailoring establishment and "badly" smashed it.
The goat then broke through the crowd and continued his way further up the street, when he was secured by a young lad who led him away from the madding (frenzied) crowd.
