Thursday trivia

GRAB your mates and your thinking cap and get down to the RSL Memorial Club for their weekly trivia night tonight.

Hosted by Top Choice Trivia from 7.30pm, it's free to play with great prizes and cash to be won every week.

Have a meal or just a cake and cuppa, and purchase any drink from the bar to receive funny money for the auction while enjoying a fun night of Top Choice Trivia with Dave and Val.

Cousins' movie premiere

COUSINS for a Cure is kick-starting six months worth of fundraising for cancer research with their first event tonight. A movie premiere of Keeping up with the Joneses (pictured) will screen at Chinchilla Cinema tonight with refreshments.

Doors open at 6pm and the movie will start at 7pm.

Tickets are $20 each and include nibbles, wine, beer or soft drink and a other treats. Tickets are available from Chinchilla Florist or at the door.

The Singing Diplomat

AUSTRALIAN diplomat turned singer-songwriter, Fred Smith, is bringing his songs from the frontline of Afghanistan to rural Queensland for his Dust of Uruzgan show.

See the Singing Diplomat for one night only in the Western Downs at the at Miles' Leichhardt Hall tonight at 7.30pm.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for members/seniors, $15 for students, $55 for families and $45 for families that are members, and can be purchased at the door or by calling Dogwood Crossing on 4628 5330.

McHappy Day

SUPPORT seriously ill children and their families by joining in the McHappy Day fun at Chinchilla McDonald's.

On Saturday, either buy a Big Mac, a Helping Hand for $2, a pair of Ronald Socks for $3, or make a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities. $2 from every Big Mac and proceeds from Helping Hands and Ronald Socks will go towards RMHC's essential programs and services.

Touch footy finals

THE Chinchilla Touch Association is holding their grand finals this Saturday at Bulldog Park.

Pop along and check out some fast-paced footy action with junior games from 4.30pm and senior games from 6pm.

There will be a barbeque, bar and music until late, and free children's entertainment.
