Community Christmas Tree Display
FROM Thursday until Saturday this week, is the Community Christmas Tree Display that never fails to delight.
Over 30 beautifully decorated trees by local businesses and individuals are currently gracing the inside of the Chinchilla Uniting Church at 31 Middle St, which you can see for just the price of a gold coin donation between 1.30 and 7.30pm.
In addition to the Christmas tree display, there will also be stalls operating. After 5pm every day a barbecue with light refreshments will be running.
MAKE the most of the warm summer evening on Friday night with Chinchilla Golf Club's twilight golf. The bar opens at 4pm and $20 will get participants nine holes ($5 refund when the ball is returned). Bring a torch and a friend and tee off at dusk.
A courtesy bus will be supplied by the Club Hotel.

Chinchilla Cup Day
SATURDAY at the annual Chinchilla Cup Day is going to be a big one.
Gates open at 11am at the Chinchilla Racecourse before the races kick off.
As well as a licensed bar, food and ATMs will also be operating on site throughout the day and into the evening.
And make sure you dress to impress for the Fashions on the Field competition.
After the races, the party will continue with live music until late.
General admission is $15 for non-members or free for members; corporate/VIP entry is $55 for non-members or $45 for members and table marquee groups (up to 10) are $110 per table.
A courtesy bus will run between the track and drop-off locations around Chinchilla, including the Commercial Hotel, Club Hotel, Network Video, Foodworks and Showgrounds between noon and 1pm and then again between 7pm and midnight.
Miles Carols by Candlelight
JOIN the Miles Historical Village on Sunday for its annual Carols by Candlelight. The community is invited to sing in the festive celebrations from 6.30-8.30pm with local church groups, featuring traditional Christmas carols, Australian Christmas songs, Christmas skits and local musicians and singers.
Attendees are welcome to bring a torch or LED candles are available on the night.
Everyone is asked to bring a plate to share.
CHINCHILLA'S monthly markets are perfectly-timed for Christmas this Sunday.
Buy all your produce along with your Christmas presents from 7am until noon at the park outside the Chinchilla Visitor Information Centre.
